About Brisbane Showground

  • Historic It.

The Brisbane Showgrounds have been in use as a showground since 1876. They are significant for their long association with the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) and have played a crucial role in promoting Queensland's agricultural, horticultural, pastoral, and industrial resources since the 1870s.

  • Visit It.

In recognition of its historical and cultural importance, the Brisbane Showgrounds were listed on the Queensland Heritage Register on 25 July 2003. The site is noted for demonstrating the evolution of Queensland's history and for its association with the community through events like the annual "Ekka."

  • Attend It.

The Brisbane Showgrounds are set to host the 2025 National Men's Health Gathering from October 22 to 24. This event will bring together policymakers, academics, healthcare professionals, and community representatives to discuss and promote the health and well-being of men and boys across Australia.
