Getting to the Venue
The Brisbane Showgrounds is conveniently located just 1.5km from the Brisbane CBD in Bowen Hills and 15 minutes from Brisbane Airport.
The indoor and outdoor Brisbane events precinct is bordered by Bowen Bridge Road, O’Connell Terrace, Brookes Street and St Paul’s Terrace and is home to the state-of-the-art Royal International Convention Centre, a four and a half star Rydges Hotel and the vibrant King Street dining and retail hub.
Public Transport

Black and White Cabs (ph. 13 32 22) are our preferred transport provider. Hail, call or book via the app.
There are taxi zones located on our doorstep, outside Rydges Hotel and Fat Dumpling on King Street.
Rideshare companies also operate in Brisbane and can be met at any specified location.

Buses access the streets surrounding the Brisbane Showgrounds regularly. The main bus stops are located on Bowen Bridge Road outside The Old Museum and on St Pauls Terrace near King Street. You can also choose to ride the CityGlider buses, which provide high-frequency transport from West End to Teneriffe and Ashgrove to Stones Corner, while the free City Loop bus service is perfect for exploring the CBD. Numerous bike racks are located in King Street, including outside CAMS Cycling Collective. A map of Brisbane’s bikeways can be found on the Cycling Brisbane website.
Accessibility
The Brisbane Showgrounds is designed to provide exceptional services and facilities to all visitors.
The Royal International Convention Centre is wheelchair accessible on both levels and designated car parking spaces are located on ground level. Wheelchairs are also available from the Customer Relations team.
Individual accessibility restrooms are located on both the upper and lower levels of the convention centre and there is one ambulant toilet within each bathroom location.

Historic It.
The Brisbane Showgrounds have been in use as a showground since 1876. They are significant for their long association with the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) and have played a crucial role in promoting Queensland's agricultural, horticultural, pastoral, and industrial resources since the 1870s.

Visit It.
In recognition of its historical and cultural importance, the Brisbane Showgrounds were listed on the Queensland Heritage Register on 25 July 2003. The site is noted for demonstrating the evolution of Queensland's history and for its association with the community through events like the annual "Ekka."

The Brisbane Showgrounds are set to host the 2025 National Men's Health Gathering from October 22 to 24. This event will bring together policymakers, academics, healthcare professionals, and community representatives to discuss and promote the health and well-being of men and boys across Australia.
