Thomas Docking is a passionate father, husband, community leader, and social entrepreneur dedicated to strengthening families during the early years of parenthood. He is the CEO of Dads Group and founder of Man With a Pram, two national initiatives that bring together thousands of mums, dads, and children across Australia to build stronger, more connected communities.

Thomas’s fatherhood journey began in 2014 when he and his wife Kate discovered they were expecting their first child — an experience that revealed how little meaningful support existed for fathers during the perinatal period. Together, they set out to address that gap, creating programs that not only engage fathers but also improve outcomes for mothers and infants through community connection and prevention.

Under Thomas’s leadership, Dads Group has developed the nationally recognised Integrated Model of Care for Fathers in the Perinatal Period — a collaborative, family-centred framework that embeds meaningful father inclusion within hospitals, health services, and community programs. Partnering with governments, and universities, this work focuses on improving parental mental health, strengthening relationships, and fostering healthy infant development.

Thomas’s vision is to create a generational shift in family culture — one where fathers are confidently engaged, mothers are equally supported, and every child benefits from the stability, care, and love of connected parents.
